Diploma in Food and Beverage Service (Batch 2017-18) Information - The Diploma in Food and Beverage Service is intended for candidates who have successfully completed their 12th standard with English as a subject. The programme has a duration of 36 weeks, followed by 24 weeks of mandatory industrial training. It aims to develop the practical and professional skills required for employment in the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, and airline catering services. The course comprises both theoretical and practical assessments, and applications are invited annually in the month of June.

Established in 1968, Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Goa was formerly known as “Food Craft Institute”. The college was established with a mission “ To be the undisputed leader in Hospitality Education”. IHM, Goa is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida (NCHMCT). The college is financially and administratively under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, New Delhi. It has signed a memorandum of understanding(MOU) with I.G.N.O.U to offer quality education to the students. The main aim of the college is to provide the best academic facilities and education to the students who are pursuing hotel management education at the college. The college treats all the students at an equal level and organises seminars and events to improve their skills.
Currently Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Goa is offering education through 3 Year B.Sc. programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, diploma in food production and other craftsmanship program related to hotel management. Education at IHM, Goa completely focus on overall growth of the students. They allow them to participate in events related to hotel management so that they can learn new skills and recipes which will help them to become a successful person in their respective field. The Institute also conducts free courses as per the directives of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, New Delhi in which students are paid a stipend.
The campus of Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Goa is constructed over a total area of 4.8 acres. There are many facilities available at the campus such as hostel, laboratories and computer lab. Besides this, bakery & confectionery, basic training kitchens, quantity food kitchens, advance training kitchens, training restaurants and students dining hall are also available at the college campus.
